Le Meurice

Le Meurice is a 5-star hotel in the 1st arrondissement of Paris opposite the Tuileries Garden, between Place de la Concorde and the Musée du Louvre on the Rue de Rivoli. From the Rue de Rivoli, it stretches to the Rue du Mont Thabor. The hotel was founded in 1771 and opened 1815. It received palace distinction by the French government in 2011. Le Meurice is owned and operated by the Dorchester Collection, a luxury hotel operator based in London. The hotel has a staff of over 400 and houses 160 rooms decorated in the style of Louis XVI.



It features a 3-star Michelin restaurant as well as a spa and a fitness center with massage treatments.
Each air-conditioned and soundproof room has classic decor with a modern twist and a marble bathroom. The rooms come equipped with a flat-screen TV and an iPod docking station.

Alais Ducasse is the chef of Le Meurice’s restaurant, which serves gourmet French cuisine. Meals are served in the grand dining area, whose décor is inspired by the Salon de la Paix of the Château de Versailles, revisited by Philippe Starck.

Guests can also enjoy a daily afternoon tea in Le Dali Restaurant or enjoy a cocktail in the Bar 228, which serves 300 different kinds of drinks and live jazz music every evening.

Place de la Concorde and the Champs-Elysées is a 5-minute walk away, the Louvre Museum is less than half a kilometer from the hotel. Tuileries Metro station is 100 m away, providing direct access to Bastille and La Defense.
